Five weeks after successfully closing its first lot of the XXVII Parra Negra Canarias 25-26 Grand Final, the FireAuction platform has published the second lot : 19 pigeons that qualified in the most demanding race in the Canary Islands archipelago, with a minimum bid of 100 euros and a closing date expected around September 13, 2026. Bidding is open as of the writing of this article (September 7) and prices still have plenty of room to rise.
What the first batch left behind
In August, FireAuction closed its first Parra Negra auction with figures that surprised much of the industry: 22 birds, 111 bids, 23 international buyers, and a top price of €735 for the FCC-25-529522 pigeon belonging to T. Elianares (15th place). The most striking aspect was that the price didn't follow the ranking order: pigeons in sixth and seventh place sold for less than €120, while the fifteenth-place pigeon fetched a price many times that amount thanks to the loft's overall performance. The Parra Negra market doesn't just consider the final position.
The second batch introduces 19 new specimens, several breeders who did not appear in the first block, and the presence for the first time of the pigeon that won the Grand Final.
The three lots with the most activity
As of this writing, ten lots have received at least one bid. The competition is concentrated in three:
- ESP-25-184642 from T. Sergio & Bernabe Cabrera : the 1st place finisher in the Grand Final and 8th AS Pigeon of the season. It has accumulated 11 bids and is valued at 225 euros. It is the only pigeon in the lot that won the main race, which explains the high interest.
- ESP-25-184630 , also by T. Sergio & Bernabe Cabrera : 30th in the final but 4th overall as pigeon in the championship. With 5 bids at 135 euros, the market is paying extra for sustained performance throughout the season.
- GB-25-N40030 from Mark Williams : the only British-bred specimen in the lot, ranked 33rd and 19th AS. Three bids at 125 euros. Its presence is the genetic curiosity of the block: a foreign line that passed the Canary Islands screening.
The return of T. Elianares and the question about AS Pigeon
The loft that led the first batch is now back with FCC-25-529516 , the 2nd place finisher in the Grand Final , but 35th in the AS Pigeon competition. At the time of writing, it has only received one bid at 105 euros. The comparison with their previous bird is direct: FCC-25-529522 (15th in the final, with a more solid cumulative record) closed at 735 euros. The difference lies not in the final ranking but in the overall season profile.
The AS Pigeon at Parra Negra doesn't just assess the Grand Final; it accumulates points in every flight of the championship. A pigeon that finished second in the final but thirty-fifth in the AS has had inconsistent performances in the previous stages. The market knows this. Whether anything changes during the next six days will depend on whether there is interest in the breeding potential of a bird that was indeed able to finish second in the long race.
Other lots to explore
Aside from the three most active, there are reasonable options for those looking for players with verified performance:
- FCC-25-510406 of T. Andres & Pancho & David : 10th place and 5th Ace of the season. A single bid of 105 euros for one of the most consistent pigeons in the lot.
- FCC-25-540095 from Chagua : 4th ranked / 38th AS. Minimum price of 100 euros, no bids yet.
- ESP-25-190130 by Carmelo del Pino Pérez : 27th classified / 17th AS, at 105 euros.
The paradox is clear: the 10th/5th place winner is competing with only one bid compared to the 11 bids already received by the final winner. In terms of breeding value, the most consistent pigeon of the season is usually a more reliable bet than the winner of a single race, although the market may take a few days to reflect this.
